- 5 ripe bananas
- 3/4 cup sugar or jaggery powder
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 10 cashews
- 10 raisins
Instructions to make Banana Halwa
- In a blender jar, add cut banana pieces and grind it to smooth paste.
- In a pan,add 1 tbsp ghee,cashews,raisins and roast until golden brown. Set it aside.
- In the same pan, add the banana paste and cook for 5-7 mins.
- In a glass, mix corn flour with 1/4 cup water to make thin paste. Add this mixture to the banana pan and stir well continuously without forming lumps.
- Add jaggery and cook it until the halwa becomes thick. Add the roasted nuts, cardomom powder,2 tbsp ghee and mix well.
- Once it is reduced to half quantity and doesn't stick to the sides, switch off the flame.
- Apply ghee on a tray and pour the halwa into it. Use a spoon with ghee on back side and level it nicely to get perfect shape.
